How transparent is parliament and how transparent can the public and the press force it to be? This thesis asks whether and how freedom of information laws apply to German parliament. Especially if the press is looking to research on inner matters of parliament. On the one hand is examined how these laws need to be interpreted regarding parliament. On the other hand the topic of parliamentary secrets, their necessity and their legal basis is addressed.
